SOLDIER FATALLY SHOT. [Per Press Association.,l AUCKLAND, March 17 y A soldier was accidentally shot and 'killed at a military camp about 10 last night, He was Trooper Alphonse Maguire, son of J. Maguire, Browning Street, Grey Lynn. A rifle was beino- loaded in a tent, and was accidentallv discharged, the bullet striking Maguire in the lower abdo-
men. He died 20 minutes later. His wife resides in Hastings. An inquest was opened, and adjourned.
PUBLIC BEQUEST OF £14,000. [Per Press Association.] GQRE, March. 17The late Mrs. Amelia Mary Ana Dolamore, wife of J. Howard Dohamore, who died at Richmond, Nelson, in November, bequeathed the residue of her estate, estimated at. £14,000, to the Borough of Gore fpr improvement, maintenance, and management of the Croydon Bush Domain.
