U.S. AND AXIS. (Rec. 8.40.) WASHINGTON, Mar. ,16. Mr Sumner-- Welles (AssistantSecretary of State) announced that the Swedish liner. “Drottingholm’' has been chartered to take the German and Italian diplomats United States to Lisbon, and the Japanese diplomats to ese East Africa. From both places the “Drottingholm” will bring home the American diplomats who ai’e awaiting exchange.
