HITLER LINE

On Europe’s Coasts MAMMOTH DEFENCES. (Rec. 8.30.) LONDON, March 16. There are tens of thousands of foreign workers engaged in building gigantic air raid shelters for German warships along the Atlantic coast. The shelters are made to Hitler’s personal spe/ifiqations. It is part of a chain of jnammoth buildings which the Labour Corps are erecting along the European Continent’s coastline.

The first part of the chain consists of huge gun-emplacements, entrenchments, and pillboxes, and a network of strategic roads. The purpose of these is for the protection of the coast, not only from seaborne invasion, but against parachutist attacks from the rear. . This part of the work has already been finished.
