PARTY POLITICS SUSPECTED.
P.A. WELLINGTON, March 17. In the notice of a question to the Prime Minister in the House to-day, Mr W. M. C. Denham (Govt., Invercargill), asked if the Prime Minister were aware that the “Awake New Zealand” Campaign, which was at present being conducted in the Dominion, was organised by a section of the people who, necessarily, were ignorant of New Zealand’s war activities and whose chief concern was, apparently, to unseat the Government. Mr Denham said thaf he wanted to know if the Prime Minister would take action to awaken the “Awake New Zealand” campaigners to the fact that their criticism was neither valuable, nor constructive, but was querulous and fretful, and that it might play into the hands of
