Instruction Courses CHANGE IN PROCEDURE. PA. WELLINGTON, March 17. In view of the alteration m procedure in connection with entrants for the Air Force being called up for Territorial service, a change in the preliminary method of instruct.on of these men has been decided upon, according to an announcement by the Minister of Defence (Mr. Jones’ to-night, . “Tne present system of instruction -in scattered classes and by correspondence will cease,” said the Minister, and trainees when called up for Territorial service will perform their normal service with the Army until some three or four months before they are required for entry into an initial training wing, or, in the case of radio mechanics, to an electricity and wireless school for this period of three or four months. They will then be transferred to the various Air Force stations and be given an intensive course in those suojects in which their predecessors had received instruction at evening classes or by correspondence. Portion of their time will be devoted to physical training, in order that their physical fitness might correspond with their mental! fitness. Instruction at Air Force stations will be giver! by Air Force Education officers, some of. whom are already at their stations, while others will be transferred from Air Headquarters.” The present classes would cease from March 20. the Minister added. Air Training Corps classes, however, would still continue, and would not be affected by the change.
