LONDON “ALERT”
ENEMY PLANES SIGHTED. LONDON. March 16. A short air-raid alert was sounded in the London area this morning. This was the first time London has had an alert since November 1 and the first t'me in daylight since June 6. The alert was due to three enemy aircraft crossing the south coast of Eno-land. One flew some distance inland. There are no reports of bombs being dropped. ;
