LONDON, March 15. . “The Times” Stocknolm correspondent states: Deans attached to seven of the Norwegian Bishops have now been summarily dismissed. Their dismissal followed their refusal to take up the functions of the Bishops. Major Quisling has empowered the Church Department tc> instal other clergymen within the dioceses, and seven obscure local vicars have been appointed. STOCKHOLM. March 13. The Germans have imposed a fine of about £330,000 on Stavanger. This is the heaviest fine ever imnosed in Norway. The fine was inflicted after it was found that school children had damaged the electric light installations in several schools. Strong German reinforcements recently arrived in Stavanger and the troops have mostly been billeted in schools.
