AUSTRALIAN STRIKE. SETTLEMENT .REACHED. (Rec. 12.55). MELBOURNE, Sept. 16 A resumption by all sections in lh< 5 textile factories of all of the States is expected on the night shift on Thursday, followni? a conference today by tlTe Australian Council of Trades Unions and the employers. The resumption will be on the basis nf the present award, and with no victimisation. There will be a conference' of the parties in the Arbitration Court within seven days to consider the Union’s claims for an additional 3s weekly for male adults, and proportionate increases for women and juveniles. This apnlies to all sections, except the full fashioned ’ Hosiery section, which is already 1 receiving. 15s above the award.
