MONARCHISTS’ SHOTS
At Mussolini LONDON, July 21Th'e Moscow radio quoted a report stated to have been received from the Italian-Swiss border, that a Monarchist officer fired two shots at Mussolini at Ferrara recentlv. The shots missed. The attemnt was made while Mussolini was reviewing troops about to be sent to the Eastern front. Details are closely guarded, but it. Is known that the attempt was made by Luigi Roazio, a Royalist belonging to the now anti-German onnosition group headed by Signor Starace and Signor Muti. Starace was deprived of his post as Chief of Staff of the Fascist Militia, last May. Muti succeeded Starace as Secretary of the Fascist party, but resigned a year latei.
