SUNDAY'S FIGHTING
Russian Report AIR FORCE AND GUERILLAS SUCCESSFUL. (Rec. 7.35). LONDON, July 21. . A Russian communique issued on Sunday, at midnight, says: "Heavy fighting has occurred all day on Sunday in the Pskov, Polotsk, Neva!, Smolensk and Novograd-Volynsk sectors. , . “There have been no important changes in positions throughout the front. “Our guerillas have operated successfully behind the German front lines, inflicting heavy losses. “The Russian air force, despite bad weather, again attacked tanks and! motorised units, destroying before noon on Sunday twenty-five German t ’planes. The air force also sank a. German torpedo-boat in the Baltic Sea.” Stubborn Fighting ON SUNDAY NIGHT. (Rec. 1.55). LONDON, July 21. A Moscow communique states: Stubborn fighting continued all through Sunday night in the sectors of Polotosk-Neval, Smolensk, and Novograd-Volynsk. There were no significant developments elsewhere. Our Air Force on Sunday destroyed thirty-one enemy aircraft for the loss of six of ours. MOSCOW NOT YET RAIDED. (Rec. 9.0). MOSCOW, July 21. Despite the foreign reports, Moscow has not yet been air raided.
