John James Mclntyre, hotel manager, appealed for suspension of service until February, co-anpellant being Mrs E. T. Nightingale. Mr M. B. James said every effort was being made to secure a tenant for the hotel, the owner. Mrs Nightingale, being ill, and it was necessary to have Mclntyre to mana"e over the period, while appellant was serving in the Home Guard. Operations 42, X-rays 74, screenings 2, massage and physiotherapy treatments, 344. Holidays: D McLenaghen, M. Minogue, P. Yates and M. Robinson. Appointment: Miss Z. B. Williams commenced as Night Sister 10/6/41. Resignation: Nurse A. Avery resigned as from 30th. June, 1941. The results from the Preliminary State Examinations held in May were very satisfactory. Nurses Brown, Gibb, Johnson Kemp and Minogue passed. Nurse Woolhouse completed her nass and Nurse Nolan gained a partial ’pass. In the final State Exam-; ination Nurses Wallace, Ward ana Wood passed, and I would recommend that they be appointed StabNurses as from 1/7/41. lhe Medical Superintendent’s report stated.
