PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE. Estimates of a value of £402,125 were reported and accepted for administration by the Public Trustee during the month of April, 1941. The total value of the estates and funds under administration by the Public Trustee on the 31st March, 1941, was £64,436,092., Grants of administration made by the Court in favour of the Public Trustee numbered 135 for the month. Durinir the month 608 new w.l s appointing the Public Trustee executor were prepared on behalf of testators and lodged fors safe custody, and 334 existing wills were revised to provide for changes desired by testators. The Commonwealth's £35,000,000 war loan is closed. It was oversubscribed by £750,000. Mr Fadden stated that the whole amount would be used for war purposes. Neariy 52,000 individual subscriptions were received.
