ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
GREYMOUTH DIVISION. On Wednesday last the members of the Greymouth Division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade met at their headquarters, and then marched to Victoria Park, where practice in carrying patients over obstacles, stretcher drill, and the protection of patients under dangerous conditions, was carried out. Divisional Superintendent A. Meiklejohn was in charge of the operations After the practice the men marched back to Trinity Hall, where a 1 meeting was held to appoint officers' of the Division. Those appointed are as follows:—Ambulance Officer; Mr J. Devonport; Sergeant: Mr Cyril Heaphy; Corporal: E. J. MpGirr; Assistant-Secretary: Mr J. W. R. Cross; Deputy Cadet Superintendent: Mr S. Compton; Cadet Officer: Mr G. Stringer. Other _ business attended to included duties of members and the financial position of the Division.
