INCREASED DEPENDENTS’ ALLOWANCES. WELLINGTON, February 5. The Dominion Executive of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association at a meeting, decided to request the Minister of Defence to expedite his decision regarding an increase in the rate of dependents’ allowances to conform with recent wage increases in New Zealand, ft was reported that the financial membership of the Association on December 31 was 34,272. This was an increase of 7,822 compared with the same date in the previous year.
