Cable .assn.] (Received January 19, 7 p.m.) LONDON, January 18 The British United Press Rome corrqspondent {says: “It is reliably reported that Herr Hitler and Signor Mussohni are meeting within twenty-four hours, either at Munich or at Salzburg; Officials at Romo refuse to comment.” The British Associated Press correspondent says: The venue! .of the Hitler-Mussolini meeting is secret. It may be the Brenner Pass. The dictators will be accompanied by the principal military, diplomatic, and economic experts, including Doctor Clodius.”

MUSSOLINI’S WORRIES (Received January 19. 8.40 p.m.) LONDON. January 18. A “Times” correspondent on tne Italian frontier says: “Signor Mussolini, in an effort to close up breaches between the Fascists and the Army, made daily conciliatory visit.s on four days to those who have returned wounded from Albania in tne Appulia region. Prince Umben-ros promotion is similarly an effort to close differences between the Fascists and the Royal Family, which is reputed to be bitterly hostile to Fascism. Diplomatic circles believe the promotion is an attempt to kill rumours that the Royal Family is awaiting the first opportunity to overthrow the Fascists.”
