BLANKETS WANTED

LADY GALWAY PATRIOTIC GUILD The Lady Galway Guild are advertising in this issue for blankets to send to Great Britain to the many homeless people there. Now is the time when the residents of the Grey district can spare some of their bedding to help these people. The winters in Great Britain are very severe, and it is the duty of New Zealanders to send . everything they can possibly spare to bring even a little comfort to them. The Guild rooms will be open every afternoon during the coming week to receive these gifts, and the Guild hope to get them despatched before Christmas. The Guild has already despatched a large quantity of good clothing to Britain, a wealth of garments for children; and clothing supplied the Guild has in many cases been transformed into new apparel. Donors have the satisfaction of knowing that what they easily can spare to-day will to-morrow serve people who are sustaining the brunt cf the struggle for liberty and humanity.
