IMPORT LICENSES

For Fifth Period WELLINGTON, September 10. The schedule for the fifth period of import licenses is expected to be issued throughout the Dominion within a fori nigh l, and it is generally expected the period to be covered wili be a year instead of six months. The extension will be welcomed in commercial circles where greater elasticity is needed, also in departmental offices where the changes resulting from the war have thrown added burden on Customs officials.
