NOW SHOWING: “BRIDAL SUIT E.”

Never were two leading players more happily cast than this pair, assuming respectively the roles of an irresistible manageress of a Swiss inn and ah American playboy. And when it is added that this romantic-comedy twain are bulwarked in them zany doings by such screen artists as Walter Connolly, Reginald Owen, Gene Lockhart, Arthur Treacher and Billie Burke, you may well gather that “Bridal Suite” is a picture not to be missed.

In the story Robert Young is a thoroughly irresponsible, happy-go-lucky pursuer of feminine hearts who forgets anything of importance, even

his wedding date. To cure him his mother, Billie Burke, rushes him off to Switzerland. Walter Connolly is the psychiatrist called upon to treat him. But Annabella, baker of nusspusserls and breaker of hearts, is there to intrigue Young’s heart while Connolly works vainly on his head. The result is a mad ’whirl of daffy complications and troubles that lake all four into perilous situations on the mountain sides, uproarious love scenes and hilarious battles.

Catching the spirit of this gay romance at its topmost bent Young gives one of the happiest and most delightful performances of a caree.” studded with such additional recent hits as “Honolulu” and “The Shining Hour.” Annabella, the little lady of ‘ sunshine and tears,” brings to her role that deftness of characterisation and winning appeal which have whirled her to film eminence on the heels of a series of successful pictures. Connolly hangs up new laurels in adding this new portrait to an enviable list of characterisations, and Miss Burke was never more aflutter, never more side-splitting than she is in this picture as Mama McGill.
