The final stage of the schedule o, the South Pacific flight of the PanAmerican Airways Honolulu Clipi-e? will be completed to-morrow, when the machine is expected to reacn Auckland from Noumea, New Caledonia, at about 2.45 p.m. Taking off from Canton Island at G. 30 a.m. (New Zealand time), the Clipper reached Noumea at 5.42 p.m. this afternoon. The Clipper is commander by Captain R. H. McGlohn, who was the first officer of the same flying-boat on her survey flight to New Zeala m last November. The first officer is

Mr R. Beecher, Pacific Division engineer of the Pan-American Airwayr; Mr P. Delany, who is to be the traffic manager for the Pan-American Company at Auckland; Mr J. Yates, who has been transferred to Auckland as mechanic; and Mr J. Lindtng, a member of the company’s engineering staff at San Francisco. The flight, so far, has been uneventful, and a forecast prepared, in Auckland, suggested the continuation of favourable flying conditions, with a moderate beam wind, on the 1109mile journey from Noumea to Auckland. The Clipper will be serviced at the base on Friday, and will leave on the return flight on Saturday morning. The mails for the trip are closing at Auckland on Friday morning.
