THIRD ECHELON

Coast Contingent ARRIVAL THIS AFTERNOON. ; Between 150 and 200 West Coast Troops of the Third Echelon will arrive by this afternoon’s express from Burnham Military Camp. The Municipal Band will be in attendance at the Station to play numbers, but there will be no parade through the town. Members of the Railway and Forestry Companies in camp at Ngaruawahia and Trentham, and of other units at Papakura will arrive on Saturday, but it is not known if all will arrive then. Most probably some will not reach Greymouth till next week. The troops will have leave for about 10 to 12 days in Greymouth. TO-DAY’S MEDICAL BOARD. About thirty recruits in the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force will be medically examined at the Drill Hall, Greymouth, at 9 o’clock this morning. Only those notified to attend will be examined. Territorial examinations will take place next week.
