CLIPPER CONNECTION TO AUSTRALIA. WELLINGTON, July 30. _ The Minister-in-Charge' of Civil Aviation, Hon. F. Jones, announced that there will' be an additional trip this week in the trans-Tasman air service. The extra flight will take place from Auckland to Sydney on Friday, and will provide a connection with the incoming flight of the trans-Pacific service, which is due to terminate at Auckland on Thursday. There will be no service from Auckland to Sydney next Monday. The mail closing times for the additional trip to Sydney this week will be: —■ Dunedin, Christchurch and Wellington: S p.m. on Wednesday. Auckland: 10 a.m. on Thursday. The Minister added that the matter of co-ordinating the time-tabic of the trans-Tasman service w?tn trans-Pacific and Empire services had been investigated last week by the Tasman Air Commission, and be hoped to be in a position to make a further statement at an early date.
