HANAN’S NEW RECORDS. AUCKLAND, March 14By winning the hundred metres scratch race here to-night, the National swimming champion, P. Hanan, registered 59 1-5 seconds, thus breaking his own New Zealand record by 1 3-5 seconds. He also covered the hundred yards in the same race in 53 1-5 seconds, thus bettering N. Crump’s record by one-fifth of a second. Application will be made for the recognition of both of Hanan’s times as records. , . , The fifty yards’ ladies Auckland championship was won by inches by Miss D. Dunford in 31 seconds. Miss N. Griffin was second, and Miss R Stac kpole third , .
