Elsewhere is advertised a series of public meetings to be held in Greymouth and the surrounding districts next week, under the auspices of the N.Z. Branch of the Peace Pledge Union. This organisation claims to | have a constructive peace policy to I place before the peonie of New Zealand and urges that all < people j interested in the present internationi a.l situation should attend. The Peace Pledge Union claims also to be the leading pacifist body in England, and included in its sponsors are Rt. Hon. George Lansbury. M.P., | Canon Stuart Morris, Vera Brittain I Storm Jamieson, Lord Ponsonby, and ; other noted people.
