DAMASCUS, March 12. Five hundred pilgrims, returning to Palmyra from Mecca, were lost in the desert near Palmyra. Twenty members of the party were found exhausted near Palmyra. It was staled that the caravan lost its way. Nearly 300 camels died. The remainder of the party separated in a storm. The Syrian Camel Corps and planes made 24 fruitless searches. DUBLIN, March 12. Three I.R.A. members were each sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment, on charges arising out of the Phoenix Park magazine raid. WASHINGTON, March 12. The House passed the Navy Expansion Bill.
