AUCKLAND’S £1,000,000. RECORD SEASON. AUCKLAND, March 11. About £236,000 will be distributed to wool growers throughout the Auckland Province to-morrow, which is ■prompt date of the fourth appraisal for .the British Government under the wartime purchase plan, held on Few ruary 26 and 27. With £1,078,000 already received by growers this season, this will bring the total realisation so far to £1,31&000. This is already £252,257 more than the cheque of £1,061,743 received for the whole of last season. The final appraisal of the season in Auckland will' be held on April 1. In the four appraisals already held 76,504 bales have been dealt with. Tire total, number of bales sold last season was 85,442, and although it is 'expected that the clip in the Auckland Province will be smaller, there should still be about 7000 or 800 bales left for the final fixture. On this''assumption, the full season’s distribution should be little short of the record cheque of £1,528,545 received in the 1936-37 season.
