Sighting a U-boat in the North Sea, an Air Force coastal command plane dived, at the same time releasing a salvo of bombs on the submarine. The submarine immediately crash dived, but when the disturbance caused by the bursting, of the bombs had subsided, there was a greasy patch extending for 40 vards, surrounded by masses of bubbles.
