AIR FORCE TRAGEDY

In Australia TWO MEN KILLED. (Received January 16, 12.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, January 15. Two members of the Royal Australian Air Force were, killed to-day when their plane crashed from a height of one thousand feet, and then caught fire near the R.A.A.F. Station at Laverton. The victims were: — Pilot-Officer James Norman Alexander, aged 20 years, of Strathfield, Sydney, N.S.W. Sergeant W. K. Platt, aged 27, of Victoria. The plane was flying in formation, and it stalled during a turn.
