The Kiwitea from Auckland, after considerable delay in the roadstead owing to, heavy weather, is expected to arrive in port this afternoon and after discharging cargo, loads cojU for return t 0 Auckland. The Totara is due from Lyttelton to-day to load coal for Timaru. The Karetu is expected from Wen Kington To-morrow night and loads coal on Friday for return to Wellington. The Te Aroha is expected to sail from Wellington to-morrow evening with general cargo for Westport ano Little Wanganui. Funeral: The funeral of the late Charles Mounter Johnston took place at the Mokihinui cemetery yesterday after noon. There was a large attendance of mourners, the procession leaving the Masonic Hall, Seddonville. The Provincial Grand Master, Bro. Campbell, read the Masonic services and the Rev. H. L. Wilkinson the Presby terian services. The pall-bearers at the Lodge room were five sons and one son-in-law, while at the cemetery, the pall-bearers were the P.M. of Mokihinui Lodge, Wor. Bro. Quin>*. and Messrs Murphy, Neilson. Peacock, Taylor and Mclndoe. Extension of Hours: The Chief Post Office. Westport, and Post Offices at Denniston, Granity, Karamea and Millerton are now open from 9 a.m., until 8 p.m., for the transaction of business in connection with the issue of licenses for the purchase of motor spirits. Basketball: The following basketball fixtures will be played this week: — Thursday—Technical School v. Athletic, at 6 p.m. (referee, Mr J. Connelly). Technical Ol r i Girls A v.
