The paper “Le Matin” says: Censorships over the press and over wireless have been introduced to-day in FVrlilCG Film stars are hastening across France from the postponed International Film Festival en route for America. Horses have been requisitioned m France. , Fifty thousand women are standing by in Paris for A.R.P. duties. FRENCH MOBILISATION. THREE MILLION MEN. LONDON, August 27. “The Times’s” Paris representative says it is believed that France has now 3,000,000 men under arms. All aeroplanes are forbidden on an eastward line from Calais, Paris and Marseilles. The evacuation of Paris is continuing. Many Italian residents are offering their services to France. A Riviera organisation, representing thousands of Italians, has issued a manifesto of loyalty to France, and willingness to fight for the democracies.
