RIFLE SHOOTING

GREY DEFENCE CLUB. The first competition for the Bromley Memorial Belt was fired off on the Cobden. Range. Rifleman.E. Brady, a young promising shot, was top scorer with 102. President S. Davy shot well to register 100 off the rifle. His score card read—3oo ..yards: 34-455,554,455,55; total 52; 500 yards: 33-554,554,555,5; total 48; grand total 100. The following were the leading scores (conditions 11 shots at 300 yards and 10 shots at 500 yards, and

; BRUNNER DEFENCE CLUB. •' The Brunner Defence Rifle Club fired the third and final shoot for Rifleman G, Smith’s trophy on the Taylorville Range in fine weather. Only a fair muster of members turned out, owing to the threatening weather. Some good shooting was witnessed, the first three leading men scoring IQQ, .including handicap. On the count back T. Gutberlet was the winner. Conditions were the two best shoots , to count. Following were the scores:—
