AMATEUR ATHLETICS

GREY EXECUTIVE MEETS. A meeting of the executive of the Greymouth Amateur Athletic Club was held in the United Pavilion last evening, there being present: Mr T. P Ryan (chaiunan), Misses M. Taylor and N. Kennedy, Messrs H. Silcock, I. Steel, E. A. Bastings, Lynch, S. McDonnell, and E. B. E. Taylor (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Messrs J. Bluett and W. Mann. The chairman welcomed the lau./ members to the committee, and stressed the important part the ladies played in the success of the club. It was decided to hold a monster amateur sports meeting on Saturday, January 20, in which Canterbury and Buller athletes would be asked to compete.
