THREW TOMATOES

LONDON COURT SCENE. LONDON; December 2. There was an astounding scene- m the Court of Appeal when Frank Harrison, after rejection of his application for a new County Court trial, returned to Court when the Judges were departing at lunch time and shouted: “I want justice.” At the same time he threw several tomatoes at Lord Justices Clauson and Goddard. The tomatoes missed the Judges and burst against the woodwork. A spectator seized Harrison’s arm, preventing him from throwing more. The Judges returned to the Bench. Judge Clauson said: “We dealt with the application to the best of our ability.” Harrison was sentenced to six weeks’ imprisonment for contempt of Court. Yelling, "There is no justice left in England,” Harrison was hustled out.
