TREATMENT 'OF CANCER. RUGJ3Y, November 30. A bill to make further provision for the treatment of cancer, was read for the first time in the House of Commons. VS,. The main purpose I 'pf the bill is to establish a cancer service, under which in every part'-of the country, modern facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of cah'cer would be available. s, <- The bill places an obligation on the major local authorities to conr suit’with the Radium Commission and bodies voluntary hospitals, and on thetlocal medical profession to prepare and submit for approval to the Minister Tor Health arrangements for securing facilities for the treatment nf 'cancer, adequate for the needs of the areas concerned.
One clause in the bill prohibits advertisements of offers to cure cancer, and advertisements referring to articles in terms calculated to lead to their use in the i treatment of cancer.
BELFAST, November 30. The I.R.A. are 'believed to be responsible for blowing up the Customs posts. The attacks, were carefully planned. The explosions occurred almost simultaneously at'five key posts along the 180 mile border line. 1 A suitcase containing an unexploded bomb was found at Tullydonnel Customs post.. The Antrim police discovered similar'suitcases addressed to local residents, left overnight at the destroyed posts. It is now known that they contained time bombs.
