BULL ATTACKS ELDERLY FARMER. IPer Press Association.] BLENHEIM, May 17. Charlie Sheridan, aged 81, of Spring Creek," a farmer, died in the hospital to which he was admitted last week suffering from fractured ribs and other injuries caused by an attack by a Jersey bull. The Coroner (Mr E. J. Hill) returned a verdict that death was caused by heart failure, following the shock of the attack. It was disclosed that Sheridan went out alone to round up cows for milking, and was charged and knocked down by the bull. He escaped under a fence and managed to return to his home unassisted.
