NEXT WEEK'S JOURNEY Precautions for Safety [Aust. & N.Z, Cable Assn.] BERLIN, April 28. Herr Hitler is going to Rome on May 2, accompanied by Herr von Ribbentrop, Herr . Hess, Dr. Goebbels, Doctor Franch, General Keitel Himmler, Doctor Dietrick and numerous high naval and military officials. Herr Hitler will be the guest of the King of Italy for a few days. Seven hundrd secret police have gone to Italy to guard Hitler during his visit, in addition to two companies of Hitler’s bodyguard . LONDON, April 28. The “Telegraph’s” Rome correspondent says: As chief of the Italian Public Security Department, Senator Bocchinin is not taking chances on Herr Hitler’s safety in Rome. Many Jewish and other refugees who arrived in Italy since 1935, have been told it would be wise to keep clear o" Rome, Naples .and Florence until Hitler has gone. Those who would not, or could not, take the hint, are being placed under “precautionary arrest.” A system of passport control has been introduced on the roads to Rome. Cars are halted outside the city and passports examined. Landlords and householders are warned that they will be responsible for the good behaviour of tenants. Flower pots must be removed from balconies and windows, because they might fall on Hitler’s head. ITALIAN HOLIDAY FOR VISIT (Received April 29, 10 p.m.) ROME, April 29. A royal decree proclaims a national holiday in Italy in honour of Herr Hitler’s arrival.
