The dockyard engineers here are still on strike, but Judge Beeby„ whose de-registration order was enforceable to-day, deferred action until Thursday, in the hope that hego tiations for a settlement, which are now proceeding, will end successfully. DARWIN, February 14. The Administrator (Mr. Abbot), in a special report to the Air Board, definitely discounts the story that ‘ mystery planes” flew over Darwin, last week. His opinion is shared by the commander of the coast defences, and the district naval officer.
