CASUAL WATERSIDERS
WELLINGTON MOVE. ASSOCIATION FORMEDFPer Press Association]. WELLINGTON, February 8. A new association, representing the casual workers on the waterfront, was formed this morning, under the title of the Wellington Casual Watersiders’ Association. Over 300 were enrolled, and it is anticipated that by to-morrow there will be a membership of 500. The executive appointed is to meet representatives of the Harbour Board and the shipping companies, this afternoon. in order to discuss an agreement. Among the objects is securing first preference when casual work is available. There is no antagonism to the watersiders’ Union. It is hoped to .work in harmony with them. The President is K. Bell and the sec-retary-Mr. Mason.
