DEALERS’ CONFERENCE. On Thursday and Friday of last week, Messrs Todd Motors, Limited, New Zealand Distributors of Chrysler, De Soto, Chrysler-Plymouth, Humber-Hillman and Talbot cars, Fargo and Commer trucks, held their annual Dealers’ Conference. Some 120 dealers and Todd Motors’ executives from all over New Zealand attended this important function. All delegates visited Todd Motor Industries’ Factory at Petone, where the complete range of attractive 1938 models were inspected. After viewing these new models, all delegates made a tour of the factory. During their visit, dealers took the opportunity of driving the new 5-passen-ger Hill,man “14,” a new addition to the Hillman range, and the new Humber “Snipe.”

The programme included a banquet to the dealers, press and leaders of the Motor Trade Organisations, the Hon. Mr. R. Semple, Minister, of Transport, and His Worship the Mayor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, were the principal guests of the evening. On Friday a Golf Tournament for the Todd Cup was held at Judgeford Park, the cup being won by Mr. A. G. Macdonald, Sales Manager, Todd ■Motors, Wellington.
