STEDMAN TO STAY IN AUCKLAND AUCKLAND, February 9. A. C. Stedman, the well-known Auckland lawn tennis player, will not be available to represent New Zealand at this year’s Davis Cup competition owing to his having accepted a business appointment in Auckland.' The defection of Stedman will give the selectors to the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association food for serious thought. An announcement of the personnel of the Dominion team was expected any day, but the latest development may delay matters.
