TRAIN STRIKES BUS

PASSENGERS VERY LUCKY. AUCKLAND, November 13. The passengers on a suburban bus had a remarkable escape when the vehicle was struck by a shunting train at a level crossing at Te Papapa, near Auckland, early this afternoon. The train, which was travelling from Onehunga to Penrose, tore the back of the bus away. One male passenger on the rear seat ,was thrown to the road, and . suffered facial injuries, but declined to go to hospital. The other passengers were severely shaken. The bus driver, J. Maiden, was able to resume driving shortly after the accident. The train was not damaged, and, after the wreckage was removed, continued on its way,
