"LLOYD’S OF LONDON.” Cast together for the first time, Madeleine Carroll and Tyronne Power are hailed as the screen’s new romantic favourites in "Lloyds of London,” Twentieth Century-Fox story of the love that changed the destiny of an empire, currently at the Opera House. With Freddie Bartholomew and Madeleine Carroll starred, the romance features in the cast Sir Guy Standing, Tyrone Power, C. Aubrey Smith and Virginia Field. Darryl F. Zanuck, Twentieth Century-Fox chieftain of production, selected Henry King to direct, and Kenneth Macgowan as associate producer. "THIS’LL MAKE YOU WHISTLE." One of the most important presentations scheduled on the Opera House’s new season’s programme is the Herbert Wilcox production, “This’ll Make You Whistle.” To-day Jack Buchanan fans are legion, and Herbert Wilcox has produced in “This’ll Make You Whistle,” a film which proves worthy of the highest recommendation. This gay musical film is based on the successful stage play by Guy Bolton and Fred Thompson, which has proved Jack Buchanan’s greatest laughter-maker. As in the play, Jack Buchanan’s former stage and screen partner, Elsie Randolph, plays opposite him in "This’ll Make You Whistle,” while Jean Gillie who has also appeared with the star on the stage and screen, plays an important leading role. Other players prominently featured include David Hutcheson, William Kendall, both of whom have scored successes in the stage version, Miki Hood, Bunty Pain, Marjorie Brooks and Antony Holies. The picture comes to the Opera House to-morrow.
