TOur Own Correspondent] REEFTON, August 24. While driving a motor vehicle on the Nelson-Muchison road on Sunday, Mr. L. Mercer, had the misfortune to go over a bank on Ihe road near Owen Junction. He was picked up in an unconscious state and was removed to the Muchison Hospital. The Inangahua Silver Band gave a splendid open-air programme in the Hospital Grounds on Sunday afternoon. The Band’s improved playing was the subject of general favourable comment, and now that their membership has increased, they will doubtless appear more often in public. Miss N. Coghlan of the Mines Office Reefton who has. been transferred to Wellington, left by this morning’s train to Christchurch en route there.
