SPRINGBOK BALL. Wednesday next will be a gala night for West Coasters, when the Sprihgboks are being tendered a grand ball at Schaef’s Hall. A most emcient committee 1 have spared no efforts to make the ball memorable, both for the South Africans and dance lovers generally. The official hostesses will be Mesdames W. Meldrum, J. O'Brien and J. W. Hannan, The hall is being transformed into a fairyland with gay decorations, and a spirit of merriment will be prevalent. Arrangements have been made to have flashlight photos taken while the ball is in progress. Mr P. Coll will control an efficient team of M’s.C., while Mr Ron Stopforth’s Marina Orchestra will supply the music. Supper is in the capable hands of Mr G. Harker. The arrangements made have in view of catering for one of the largest gatherings that have ever graced the floor of a West Coast ballroom.
