MR. NASH’S REPORT
Opening of Session [Per Press Association]. WELLINGTON, August 18. Cabinet met to-day, for the first time since the return to New Zealand of the Minister of Finance, Hon. W. Nash. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, explained that Mr. Nash had reported to Ministers on his mission abroad, r.nd on the results of his negotiations for trade agreements with other countries.
Mr. Savage added that another meeting of the Ministry was to be held to-morrow, when it was hoped to fix the date for the opening of the coming session. In view of the fact that Mr. Nash, as Minister of Marketing, had yet to examine the position regarding the current season’s guaranteed price for dairy produce, it was unlikely that the Government would be able to make a pronouncement in this connection for a few days yet.
