Mrs. J. Reedy leaves for Christchurch to-day.

Mr. E. Goodall, Maintenance Branch, Railways Department, Greymouth, has received notice of transfer to Reefton. Mr. Goodall, who is a member of the West Coast Rugby Referees’ Association, was farewelled by the Association on Tuesday evening.

Constable F. Rendle, of Christchurch, has received notice of transfer to Greymouth, to fill the vacancy caused by the transfer of Constable D. N. MacDonald to Auckland. Constable K. J. Gilmour, of Christchurch, has received notice of transfer to Hokitika.

The death occurred yesterday afternoon, in a Christchurch private hospital, of Mrs. Margaret O’Flynn, aged about 50 years. She is survived by her husband, Mr. F. E. O’Flynn, formerly of Runanga, and now head teacher at Hornby; and three children. Mrs. F. H. Denton, of Greymouth, is a sister of deceased.

The death occurred on August 12, at his residence, Galloway (Central Otago) of Mr. John Henry Keddell, a son of the late Major Keddell, a former magistrate at Greymouth. Mr. Keddell was an athlete, and was one of the first volunteers for the South African war, attaining the rank of lieutenant. At the commencement of the Great War he was instructor at Trentham and later he became a successful farmer at Galloway. He was predeceased by his wife a year ago. Deceased is survived by two sons, Messrs Jack and Walter Keddell, and two daughters, Mrs. Barclay (Dunedin) and Miss Hilda Keddell.
