STOLEN CARS. LPer Press Association]. CHRISTCHURCH, August 14. A Dodge five-seater sedan car, stolen from Temuka, is the latest addition to the list of cars reported missing. The car is painted a dark fawn, and the registered number is 142-031. It is the property of Mr. Edwin Dobson, Clandeboye. Two cars were taken from Timaru recently, but the police reported that both, had been recovered. NEW RAILWAY STATION. CHRISTCHURCH, August 13. “Arrangements which are being made preparatory to the commencement of the work of constructing the new railway station at Christcnurch, are following the normal routine, and are being pushed ahead with as little delay as possible,” said the Minister of Railways (the Hon, D. G. Sullivan), in an interview. BASKETBALL. CHRISTCHURCH, August 14. A senior B basketball match between Canterbury and Wellington was played at South Hagley Park this afternoon, Canterbury winning by 15 points to 13. - The teams were:— . Canterbury—N.
