POLICE CHARGE
UPON CALCUTTA PROCESSION. 50 INJURED AND 100 ARRESTED. [Aust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] (Received August 15, 7.30 p.m.) CALCUTTA, August 14. Police, armed with laths, charged a procession of sympathisers with the Andamanese prison island strikers, because those taking part in the procession had refused to march ten at a time. One hundred were arrested Fifty, including women, were injured.
