MINIATURE AWARDS. [Per Press Association]. WELLINGTON, August 13. The principal results of the New Zealand miniature Rifle Association championships were announced as follows:— S. A. Hay (United, Christchurch), with a score of 199, plus eight extra bulls out of a possible 200, wins the championship. T. Pritchard (Taumarunui) was second with 199, phis three extra bulls; C. Blackwood (West End, Timaru) third, with 198. Matches resulted: Match No. 1, A. Grade—S. O. May, 100 plus eight; T. Pritchard, 100 plus three. Match No. 2, A. Grade —C. Blackwood 11, plus four; R. Taylor (Cashmere) 99. Champion team: United (Christchurch) '786; West End (Timaru) 784; Timaru No. 1 783; Napier 782. Match No. 1, B Grade—L. Burford (United, Christchurch) 100; T Marshall (Wellington Harbour Board) 99. Match No. 2, B Grade—F. T. White (Napier) and S. L. Wall (Invercargill, 100 each, equal, first. B Grade Aggregate—L. Burford 198, L. Cooze (Municipal, Wellington) and F. T. White, 198, second. Champion Lady—Mrs Nuttall (Ward Ladies. Christchurch) 99; Mrs W. Webb (Cromwell) 98; Mrs G. King (Masterton) 97. Ladies’ Champion Team —West End (Timaru) 381; Ward Ladies No. 2 (Christchurch) 377. AUSTRALIANS IN CANADA. (Received August 13, 9 p.m.) OTTAWA, August 12. Nine Australians have qualified for the, second stage of the GovernorGeneral’s match. A Nova Scotian, Lieutenant Kennedy, won the qualifying stage with 105. Captain Coles, of Prince Edward Island, won the MacDonald-Brier match with 123.
