New Zealand won by five goals to one. The visitors’ forwards exploited flick and scoop shots throughout, their methods meeting with success on the heavy ground. Roughton and Duffield penetrated the Westralian defence easily. Hall, the goalie for Western Australia, saved many goals with great kicks. Clark and Mahoney, the New Zealand backs, held the opposing attack with ease. Clark was outstanding for New Zealand. The scorers for New Zealand were Duffield (two), and Roughton (three).
