For the second day of the Dannevirke meeting at Woodville, the weather was fine with a gusty wind. The attendance was satisfactory. The track was heavy. Desert' Chief and Namakia were unplaced in the Impeifal Handicap Upoko Ariki was unplaced in the Granville Handicap. Palantinate was unplaced in the Jeffcott Welter.
